Bids must be received by Nassau BOCES prior to the time indicated for bid opening. Bidders wishing to mail their bids may send it the address listed above. Each bidder must deposit with their bid, a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to NASSAU BOCES, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder, or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals, subject however, to the discretionary right reserved by Nassau BOCES to waive any or all proposals and to advertise for new proposals if, in its opinion, the best interest of Nassau BOCES will thereby be promoted. No bidder shall withdraw their Bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. Thereafter, a bidder may withdraw their Bid only in writing and in advance of the actual award. ***Document Note: Bidders deposit will be refunded if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications.
