A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Description: The project contemplated consists of the replacement of two centrifugal basin drain pumps (basin drain pump 1 and basin drain pump 3) and associated equipment. The equipment is located within Secondary Control Building 5 (Building 331) and Secondary Control Building 6 (Building 332) of the South Shore Water Reclamation Facility (SSWRF). The selected Contractor shall undertake the following for this project: - Remove and dispose of basin drain pump 1 (located in Building 331) and basin drain pump 3 (located in Building 332). - Remove and dispose of the pump motors and baseplates. - Remove and dispose of the 12-inch knife gate valves in the suction side of each pump. - Remove and dispose of the air release valves on the discharge side of each pump. - Remove and dispose of the 12-inch check valve located on the discharge side of basin drain pump 3. - Remove the basin drain pump reinforced concrete equipment pads. - Furnish and install new 12-inch knife gates valves on the suction side of each pump. - Furnish and install new air release valves on the discharge side of each pump. - Furnish and install a new 12-inch check valve on the discharge side of basin drain pump 3. - Form and place new reinforced concrete equipment pads in the location of basin drain pumps 1 and 3. - Furnish and install two new pump baseplates. Epoxy coat the new baseplates prior to installing the new pump equipment. - Furnish and install two new basin drain pumps, flexible couplings, and electrical motors on the new baseplates. - Connect, align, and balance the new motors and pumps. - Complete 7-day test run for each of the new pumps and valves. - Complete all other work described in the Specifications and as necessary to complete the project.
