Site work and paving for a civil project in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Brazeau Reservoir Provincial Recreational Area (PRA) is located approximately 95 kilometers northwest of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. The work to be accomplished under this project includes: .1 Main Access Road Improvements: This scope includes the design and construction of a new access road set back from the actively eroding shoreline. The new road (approximately 400m) will replace the existing main access to the group use site, with its alignment carefully planned to avoid future shoreline erosion impacts. The project also includes the installation of proper drainage measures along the road to prevent erosion, pooling, and soft ground conditions. .2 Shoreline Erosion: Investigate currently eroded sections of the bank and provide recommendations if needed on long-term impacts and potential solutions. The goal is to protect adjacent infrastructure, ensure long-term site stability, improve public safety, and extend the lifecycle of the roadway. .3 Increase accessibility wherever reasonably feasible. .4 Reduce environmental degradation wherever practicable. TIMELINE: Request for proposals for engineering consultants has been awarded. Pending budget approvals, construction is planned for 2026. Further update early spring 2026. *Budget is unreleased.
