Renovation of a mixed-use development in Wilmington, Delaware. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The scope of work consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment to perform the tasks outlined in the Statement of Work for Tuckpointing at the Wilmington, DE VAMC. The contractor shall abide by all federal state, and local code/regulations/standards. Magnitude of Construction: Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000 Project: 460-20-004 Tuckpointing NAICS: 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Size Standards: $36.5 Million This procurement is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside acquisition. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder, whose bid, in conformance with the solicitation, results in the Lowest Price. This solicitation will result in a firm-fixed price contract. Only one award will be made. Bidders must be registered in the VETS-4212 Database, SEE https://www.dol.gov/vets/vets4212.htm Interested parties are encouraged to attend the pre-bid Conference/Site Visit, which will be held IAW FAR 52.236-27 Site Visit (FEB 1995) on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Wilmington DE VAMC, Building 10. Answers will be provided via an amendment posted publicly to htts://sam.gov/ Answers will be provided NLT August 14, 2025. The Contractor shall be responsible for the correct title classification of workers and compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws. Solicitation may be canceled and all offers rejected before award but after solicitation closing date when it is clearly in the best interest of the Government. Prior to commencement of work, general contractor shall provide proof that an OSHA certified "competent person' (CP) will maintain a presence at the work site whenever the general or subcontractors are present. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Furnish and Install masonry and caulking systems on the exterior of all buildings throughout the campus and all associated appurtenances for a fully functional operating system. a. This project entails the repair and replacement and rework of our existing deteriorated masonry and caulking systems for a continuously operational VA Medical Center. b. The winning contractor shall provide all services as defined to accomplish complete contract in accordance with drawings, specifications.as required at the Wilmington VA Healthcare System, located at 1601 Kirkwood HWY, Wilmington, Delaware 19805. 2. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: Work includes the following: A. Demolition to include, but not limited to, saw cutting and excavation of ancillary structures, concrete floors, masonry walls, and utilities. B. Site work to include, but not limited to, all grading and prep work for site development, reconfiguration of sidewalks, steps, retaining walls, outdoor plaza, utilities, stormwater management, and landscaping while maintaining ADA compliance C. Construction work to include, but not limited to, all general construction, architectural and masonry repair to the exterior envelope of the buildings on campus. Performance Location: Wilmington VAMC, Delaware located at 1601 Kirkwood HWY, Wilmington, DE 19805.
