Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a transportation facility in Rapid City, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the addition of a transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
Project work consists of but is not limited to the following: Ticketing and Baggage (Project 1 Phase 3) work focuses on first floor spaces, including the ticketing and baggage handling areas. It also includes the installation of ticketing counters, airline ticket offices, baggage handling areas, and baggage handling equipment. Construction for this project shall be completed by July 31, 2026 to include Base Bid and awarded add alternates. Bidding. Each bid in the amount of $100,000.00 or more, shall contain a certified check or a cashier's check, for five percent (5%) of the amount of the highest overall bid sum. Such check shall be certified or issued by either a state or a national bank and payable to the purchasing agency or to an officer of the Rapid City Regional Airport Board of Directors letting the contract and inviting bids. In lieu of a check, a bid may contain a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. Such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota payable to the Rapid City Regional Airport Board of Directors, as a guaranty that the bidder will enter into a contract with the Rapid City Regional Airport Board of Directors, its board or officers thereof, in accordance with the terms of the letting and bid in case the bidder be awarded the contract. Federal Requirements for Federally Funded Projects. This Project is being partially funded under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP). Contractors must comply with specific federally required provisions as listed herein and contained in the contract documents. The following federal provisions are incorporated in this solicitation by reference: 1. Government-wide Requirements for Drug-free Workplace (49 CFR Part 32; Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988(41 USC 8101-8106, as amended) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. The Owner s award of this contract is conditioned upon Bidder or Offeror satisfying the good faith effort requirements of 49 CFR 26.53. As a condition of responsibility, every Bidder or Offeror must submit the following information on the forms provided herein within five days after bid opening. Goals for minority participation for each trade:3.4% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% These goals are applicable to all of the contractor's construction work (whether or not it is Federal or federallyassisted) performed in the covered area. If the contractor performs construction work in a geographical area located outside of the covered area, it shall apply the goals established for such geographical area where the work is actually performed. With regard to this second area, the contractor also is subject to the goals for both its federally involved and non-federally involved construction.
