Renovation of a water / sewer project in Richmond, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 12,415-square-foot water / sewer project.

The City of Richmond, Virginia (the "City"), on behalf of the Department of Public Utilities ("DPU") seeks bids from qualified firms to provide general contracting services for the Renovation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Administration Building ("The Project"). The Project will involve certain demolition, utility improvements, and general building construction at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (the "Work"). The Work will be divided into two phases: Phase One will involve renovating the former lab space, while Phase Two will entail renovations at the original building and its administrative addition.Outside of the building renovations, there are two exterior areas that require new porches, ramps, and canopies. Tie in of the existing asphalt will be required in relation to the amount of asphalt removed to install these structures. DPU's Wastewater Treatment Plant ("WWTP" or the "Plant") is located at 1400 Brander Street, Richmond, VA 23224 Work to be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days after Notice to Proceed. If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed Work is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the proposed Contract Documents or discrepancies of any sort between existing conditions and proposed new Work, he must submit a written request for an interpretation through OpenGov. The person submitting the request shall be responsible for its prompt and actual delivery Question Deadline 07/15/2025 at 5:00 PM ET The scope of the project is a renovation of the existing space, salvaging the structural glazed block as much as possible. Replacing existing storefront windows with new storefront windows. Removing the front canopy and adding a new handicapped ramp and new canopy. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract, WORK BY OWNER A. General: Cooperate fully with Owner so work may be carried out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying work under this Contract or work by Owner. Coordinate the Work of this Contract with work performed by Owner. B. Concurrent Work: Owners consultant will perform the following construction operations at Project site. Those operations will be conducted simultaneously with work under this Contract. 1. Security and Access Controls installation based upon rough-in locations provided under this contract. Security and Access controls will be designed and installed by the owner's vendor, Allied, and will be coordinated by the contractor. 2. IT/data needs have been put in place on the drawings and empty pathways will be provided by the contractor. Contractor is responsible for coordination with the owner's vendor for installation. 3. Fire Protection and Fire Alarm will be designed by the owner's vendor and coordinated by the contractor.
