As og July 14, 2025 this project was awarded to Extreme Excavation in the amount of $58,719.94 This project involves the installation of underground conduit to support the deployment of fiber optic cable for enhanced telecommunications infrastructure. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, trenching and the placement of conduit along designated routes to facilitate future fiber optic cable installation. Questions Due Date: Jun 15th 2025, 7:00 PM PDT The work includes the requirements for health and safety provisions necessary for all work at the site for this project. Work at the site includes subsurface excavations below a depth of four feet, contaminated soil handling, storage, and transportation, and contaminated water collection and treatment. Detailed information regarding about soil and water at the site is included in the reference documents. Known contaminants of potential concern include metals, petroleum hydrocarbons, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and dioxins/furans. Failure on the part of the Contractor to follow its site-specific Health and Safety Plan(s) or to conduct work in an unsafe manner may result in suspension of the work by the Port. The Contractor shall not be entitled to extra compensation for health and safety related suspensions, nor shall the Contract completion date be extended. The work includes the requirements to maintain environmental controls by the Contractor until the acceptance of the Contract. The work also includes compliance with all controls or ordinances with respect to safety, noise, odor, dust, fire and police action, civil disobedience, security, or traffic. The Work includes the requirements to provide temporary facilities required by both the Contractor and the Port of Olympia until the acceptance of the Contract. The Work also includes compliance with all controls or ordinances with respect to safety, noise, dust, fire and police action, civil disobedience, security, or traffic A. In an effort to prevent, control, and stop water pollution and erosion within the project, thereby protecting the Work, nearby land, streams, and other bodies of water, the Contractor shall perform all Work in strict accordance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing waters of the State, as well as permits acquired for the project. B. The Contractor shall perform all temporary water pollution/erosion control measures shown in the Plans, specified in the Specifications, proposed by the Contractor and approved by the Engineer, or ordered by the Engineer as Work proceeds.
