Demolition, site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Miami Gardens, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a fitness / recreation center; playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; swimming pool; and for the demolition of a swimming pool.

SCOPE AND SPECIFICATIONS: The City intends to enter into a design contract with a qualified architectural consultant to design improvements at Myrtle Grove Park and acquire all the necessary permits. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the design of the following improvements Renovate the existing recreation building. o Demolish the existing pool, pool house and all of the pool equipment. Sod the area. o Evaluate existing playground and provide upgrade as required. Renovate existing tennis courts. o Demolish existing basketball courts. o Install additional paved parking to the existing lot and adapt the lot to be ADA compliant. Remove existing parking lot lighting system and install new lights for improved security and surveillance. The lighting will be controlled by the Musco sports lighting system. o Construct additional paved parking at adjacent City owned property. o Construct a state-of-the-art gymnasium/field house to host Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball events and other high-profile indoor athletic events. o Install a perimeter fence to improve security at the park. o Install new landscaping and irrigation system in the park, right of way, and the paved parking lots. o Install a Video Surveillance System with cameras monitored from the new Real Time Crime Center. o Construct one (1) 30x30 pavilion.
