**As of July 23,2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded mid August, 2025.** The project consists of removing the existing rectangular rapid flashing beacons, removing and replacing sidewalk for ADA compliance, installing mast arm assemblies, illuminated signs, static signs, conduit, cable, and other miscellaneous items to construct a crosswalk system in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois. As Central Road is under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), a permit for this work will be required. The Village will submit the plans, specifications and other required information for the permit. The Contractor will be required to complete the permit and permit bond forms at no additional compensation. No work may begin until the Highway Permit is issued by IDOT Offers may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid date without the consent of the Board Bid Deposit; Surety. A bid deposit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, payable to the Village, is required, unless otherwise stated in the bid package. The deposit must be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or a bank cashier s check. All bid performance deposit checks will be retained by the Village until the bid award is made, at which time the checks will be promptly returned to the unsuccessful bidders. The bid performance deposit check of the successful bidder will be retained until surety bonding requirements have been satisfied and proof of insurance coverage is provided. Illinois Department of Transportation pre-qualification is required for this project. There will be no pre-bid conference for this project.
