Site work for a water / sewer project in Saint Louis, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Ingram Barge Company, formerly SCF Lewis & Clark Terminals, owns and operates a Rail-to-Barge transfer facility on the Mississippi River in St. Louis, MO, called the Tyler Street Terminal (the "Terminal"). The Terminal is planned for demolition and replacement as part of a Federal Grant project. The Tyler Street Terminal is a multi-purpose fertilizer and grain export terminal that is primarily used for potash and other fertilizers with a projected annual tonnage of 2.0 to 3.0 million short tons per year ("MTPY"). The primary commodities for Tyler Street are red and white potash, and KMag secondary commodities include, but may not be limited to, corn, wheat, soybeans, HRW, and SRW in varying tonnages (175,000 TPY total grain). The Materials Handling System ("MHS") design shall consider the handling characteristics of the identified commodities to minimize chute wear and chances of plugged chutes, minimize dust emissions and spillage, minimize deterioration due to corrosion when handling corrosive commodities, and address the explosive potential of handling grain products with combustible dust. The project will involve removing the existing system and providing engineering, procurement, and construction of a new, turnkey material handling system, and will be subject to prevailing wage rates. The attached bid packet details the project, but consider an overview of its elements below.
