The project involves the repair and reinforcement of an existing Streambank along a portion of the Pickering Creek. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount often percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. Proposals shall be effective for 90 days from the date of opening. The successful low bidder will be required to provide a 100% performance bond or certified check, a 100% payment bond or certified check, a worker's compensation affidavit, and a certificate of insurance naming East Pikeland Township as additional insured, within 20 days after the contract is awarded. Project is to be substantially completed by September 30, 2025. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $400.00 per calendar day. East Pikeland Township reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid, and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof. East Pikeland Township, in accordance with Title VI of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Parts 21 and 23 of 49 C.F.R., notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that MBE/WBE will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.
