The County of Butte ("County") has determined that all General "B" Building Contractors ("Contractor") bidding on the CC42 Probation Project to be undertaken by the County, must be pre-qualified prior to submitting a bid on that project. It is mandatory that all Contractors who intend to submit a bid, fully complete the Bidder Pre-Qualification Statement & Questionnaire, provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by the County to be on the final bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a contractor that has failed to comply with these requirements. If two or more business entities submit a bid as part of a Joint Venture, or expect to submit a bid as a Joint Venture, each entity within the Joint Venture must be separately qualified to bid. This project consists of the demolition of the existing 24,671 square foot Probation Building and the new construction of an 26,620 square foot office law enforcement building for the Butte County Probation Department. The two-story law enforcement facility is constructed of Concrete Masonry Unit (C.M.U.) walls along with steel stud framed walls. The floor system is concrete over metal deck over open web steel trusses. A General Contractor who desires to pre-qualify and submit a bid must have specific relevant experience completing at least two projects for which construction costs were in excess of $20,000,000 for construction of schools, medical facilities or detention facilities, & General Office Buildings.
