Renovation of a fire / police facility in Lincoln, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Public Safety Apparatus Bay Boiler Replacement: The Town of Lincoln is soliciting bids for the replacement of two existing Weil-Mclain Gas boilers along with all associated piping and venting, and the supply of two (2) new Lochinvar knight KHN199N high efficiency boilers and pumps. Question Deadline 06/10/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Any questions regarding this bid must be submitted in writing to bkelly@lincnet.org no later than 12 noon on Tuesday, Jun 10, 2025. Responses will be provided via addendum no later than Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Project specifications are listed below. This work is being procured under M.G.L. c30, s 39M. Prevailing Wage Rates apply and are included in the bid specifications. 1. Contractor to remove two existing Weil-Mclain Gas boilers along with all near piping/ air eliminator/ venting thru the roof/ and gas piping as necessary for install. 2. Contractor shall evaluate the need for water treatment equipment before installing new boilers. 3. Contractor should evaluate existing electrical capacity, gas line sizing, and structural support adequacy before installing new boilers. 4. Install two (2) new boilers with a new primary secondary piping system and all necessary electronic valving to increase efficiency along with a new air separator. 5. Contractor to supply two (2) new Lochinvar knight KHN199N high efficiency boilers with high efficiency boiler pumps. Contractor should independently verify sizing before installation. 6. Run new venting through the roof or exterior wall. 7. Run new condensate lines with premium neutralizers. 8. Scope of work includes all basic electrical. 9. Scope of Work includes installation of a new CO alarm linked to the boilers to put them off if the alarm goes off. 10. All Necessary piping will be insulated with fiberglass insulation. 11. Contractor responsible for performing start up and verifying operation. 12. Units should be left prepped for BMS implementation. 13. Contractor responsible for pulling all necessary permits (Town will waive the fees) 14. Contractor is responsible for supplying all required submittals including shop drawings, equipment specifications, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings. 15. All work must comply with all Federal, State and Local codes, including 248 CMR (Plumbing Code) and 527 CMR (Board of Fire Prevention). 16. All work must be completed by August 31, 2025. 17. Contractor must provide operator training for building maintenance staff. 18. All work must be performed in coordination with the Lincoln Fire and Police Depts, so as not to disrupt their operations. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
