Proposals shall be made upon the forms provided therefore and in accordance with the instructions to bidders and the specifications, copies of which may be secured at the Office of the Department of Public Works. The Board of Estimate and Apportionment reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted, and to accept the bid which it considers to be in the best interest of the City of Middletown. It is intended to receive bids for furnishing and delivering to various locations in or near the City of Middletown, NY 6", 8", 10", 12", 14", 16", 18", 20", and 24" Cement lined, Class 52 Ductile Iron Tyton Joint Water Pipe and various valves, fire hydrant, and fittings, AND gray iron castings for a period of one (1) year from the date of acceptance of the bid. Delivery location will be specified at time of order. Proposals shall be made upon the forms provided therefore. All blank spaces shall be fully filled in, and the signature shall be in longhand. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in making the award. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a guarantee stating the extent of the bidder's responsibility for defective workmanship and material, and the period during which this guarantee shall apply. Payment for the material will be made thirty (30) days from date of delivery and acceptance of the pipe by the City of Middletown.
