Site work and paving for a road / highway in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing failed outfall/pipe located behind the property of 623 Whitman Drive, Turnersville, New Jersey. Access to the job site shall be through an easement located directly south ofthe project site located between the addresses of 1002 and 1004 Putnam Place, Turnersville, New Jersey. The scope ofthe project includes: Removal of existing 32" reinforced concrete pipe, and installation of 36" reinforced concrete pipe, concrete headwall, and scour hole. Removal and replacement ofthe manhole as indicated on the plans. Upon completion of pipe and drainage structure replacement the Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring any excavated trench or disturbed areas are adequately compacted and repaired with topsoil and seed. The Contractor shall install a construction entrance at the entrance of the easement from Putnam Place as shown on the construction details on the plans. No separate payment shall be made; all costs associated with this work shall be included in the various items ofthe proposal. All related incidental work, including dust control, soil erosion and sediment control, cleaning, and restoration. No separate payment shall be made; all costs associated with this work shall be included in the various items ofthe proposal. All related incidental work including stripping, grading, filling, cutting and the general movement of topsoil and/or earth to provide the final grades shall be included in the "Earthwork" item ofthe bid. The Contractor is responsible for verifying the location of all utilities and to schedule all work involved with utilities directly. All costs related to this coordination shall be included in the Clearing Site ofthe bid. Borrow topsoil, fertilizers, and seed shall be placed at all disturbed areas. Areas affected by the proposed work and existing eroded areas shall be regarded as shown on the plans. The contractor shall perform a preconstruction video of the site. The cost ofthe video is not paid separately but is to be included in the various items in the bid. Storage of construction materials of any kind and/or equipment will not be permitted on private property. The above Scope of Work outlines the general items and distribution of work and shall not be construed as being all inclusive. Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Township in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Township of Washington in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.(New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. S12101, et seq.). Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Township of Washington, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. Copies of the bid forms, contracts and specifications may be obtained from said Remington and Vernick Engineers, by prospective bidders upon request, upon payment of the sum of $50.00 for each set. Payment Must Be Received Prior to Obtaining Said Specifications, Either by Mail or in Person. No Bids Are to Be Dropped Off at the Engineer's Office. The Township reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Township, in accordance with applicable law. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Remington and Vernick Engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business Back registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
