Site work and paving for a civil project in Lowden, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and for paving for a road / highway.
Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code in an amount equal to 5% percent of the total amount of the bid Work on the improvement shall commence within 10 days of the date on the Notice to Proceed. Notice to Proceed shall be no later than August 4, 2025, work shall be substantially complete on or before March 31, 2026, and shall be fully completed on or before April 30, 2026. Damages in the amount of $500.00 per day will be assessed for each day the work remains incomplete. Project includes upsizing 8-inch sanitary sewer with 10-inch sewer, 947 linear feet of which will be installed via trenched installation with 2724 square yards of seal coat restoration, and 175 linear feet of sewer to be jack and bored under the railroad along Harding Avenue. The City of Lowden reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
