Renovation of a medical facility in Calgary, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
This Project was initiated to add inpatient capacity at the ACH in each of the five existing medical/surgical inpatient units and the mental health unit to meet current and future service demand. Alberta Health Services completed a needs assessment for the proposed Project and identified an opportunity to increase inpatient capacity from 12 to 22 by adding 10 mental health beds. This Project also creates the opportunity for additional pediatric medical/surgical beds to be added to the medical units 1 to 4. TIMELINE: Project is in early planning stages. Colliers Project Leaders have been engaged as the consultant to develop a business case study. Work will start with Business Case Development in 2026 followed by Functional Programming. Continuation of the subsequent phases is contingent to Budget approval. Further update in 2026. *Cost to be determined.
