Construction of Water Plant Replacement The deadline to ask questions is 7/07/2025 10:00 AM CST. The bidder shall submit a five percent (5%) bid bond of the maximum total bid amount. Questions must be submitted electronically The work consists of providing the necessary labor, material, equipment, and supervision to construct Water Plant Replacement for Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 149. The contractor is responsible for all site work, including but not limed to clearing and grubbing of the site; construction of two (2) 400,000-gallon factory coated bolted steel GSTs, including concrete foundations; two (2) American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) hydropneumatic tanks including concrete foundations; one (1) booster pump station consisting of one (1) jockey pump and four (4) 800-gpm vertical turbine booster pumps including foundations, motors, and five (5) cans; split-faced CMU block control building including foundation; plant piping, valves, fittings, thrust blocks and pipe supports; electrical and control work, motor control center, including service; generator platform; bleach, LAS, and blended phosphate chemical system for treatment of the two existing wells and surface water station; site work including drainage and concrete pavement; concrete access road; plant site grading and rip rap; replacement of all internal above ground and underground process piping; protective coating; disinfection equipment; hydro-mulch; miscellaneous equipment; materials testing by Terracon; and all else specified and shown on the contract drawing but not addressed in separate bid items required for a complete and operational water plant facility, complete as specified and as shown in the Drawings. Additional items of work include: Remove and replace existing chain-link fencing with 8-ft, black vinyl-coated, chain-link fencing with 3-strand barbed wire; provide automatic swing access gate; Diesel engine generator with weatherproof, sound attenuating enclosure and subbase fuel tank, foundation, platform, electrical conduit and wire for generator, main breaker, automatic transfer switch, secondary containment and all necessary accessories as shown in the drawings; Provide and install ChemScan Analyzer including the monitoring unit, piping, fittings, chemicals, and electrical equipment in the LAS Room, demolition of four (4) existing GSTs, including foundations; three (3) existing HPTs, including foundations; five (5) existing booster pumps, including existing pumps, motors, foundations and piping; motor control center and control building; existing generator building, including fuel tank and slab; electrical service; paving; and all existing bleach, liquid ammonia sulfate (LAS), and phosphate chemical systems. complete as specified and as shown in the Drawings
