The Consultant shall provide cultural resource services on a Task Order (aka Work Assignment) basis for Seattle City Light (City Light) Capital and O&M projects in the Seattle service area, hydro-electric generation projects, transmission corridors, receiving substations, or other City Light owned properties or City Light funded projects. Cultural resources review is required for many City Light projects to ensure compliance with state and federal laws as well as the license agreements of City Light's hydroelectric projects. The Work shall, at all times, be subject to the City's general review and approval. The Consultant shall confer with the City periodically during the progress of the Work and shall prepare and present such information and materials (e.g. detailed outline of completed Work) as requested by the City to determine the adequacy of the Work or the Consultant's progress. City Light encourages firms and consultant teams with expertise in the specific tasks described to submit a response to this RFP. The purpose of issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to contract for On-Call Cultural Resources Consulting Services on an as-needed basis from qualified consulting firms. It is anticipated that this RFP will result in awarding a contract to multiple prime consultants, henceforth referred to as Consultant(s) in this RFQ document. The budgeted amount for these On-call consultant contracts is $1,200,000, shared among all Consultants awarded a contract, for a maximum term of five years. Consultants may be comprised of teams of one or more firms and are encouraged to include WBME firms are part of the team. For this RFP document, the term Consultant shall refer to the prime consultant responding to this solicitation, inclusive of any subconsultants. City Light encourages firms and consultant teams with expertise in the specific tasks described to submit a response to this Request for Proposal (RFP). The Prime Consultant must be able to provide all the services described in the scope of work or have a Subconsultant on the Prime Consultant's team that can. HUB/WMBE firms are encouraged to respond.
