Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Machesney Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a 8,670-square-foot, one-story above grade pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

PROJECT The work shall consist of the construction of a new 6,000 SF Salt Storage Building, parking lot improvements, lighting, associated site grading, landscaping, paving, and restoration. Bids will be received on the following Contract(s): Salt Storage Shed Bids shall be sealed and shall have the name and address of the Bidder and the Contract for which the Bid is being submitted on the outside of the envelope. All Bidders shall Bid in accordance with and upon the Bid Forms included in the Contract Documents. BID SECURITY No Bid shall be received unless accompanied by a Certified Check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the Village of Machesney Park in an amount not less than ten percent 10% of the maximum Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Contract, Performance/Payment Bonds and Insurance Certification, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award. Question Deadline Jun 20, 2025 BID REJECTION The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive any informalities in Bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids which best serves the interests of the Village of Machesney Park. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 45-days after the scheduled opening without the consent of the OWNER. The Project consists of the construction of a 8670 SF concrete wall and wood truss roof storage building. STATE OF ILLINOIS GOVERNING LAWS AND REGULATIONS Contract Letting 1. The contract letting shall be subject to current Code of Federal Regulations, Illinois Statutes and Machesney Park Ordinances. 2. Bidders are required to advertise subcontracting opportunities and to negotiate with disadvantaged businesses prior to bid opening.
