The Scott County School Board is seeking bids on monthly sampling and testing of the sewage treatment plants for the schools listed below. An analysis report meeting the Department of Environmental Quality permit requirements must be provided for each school. The sampling should take place by the second week of each month, (weather permitting), to ensure all data is received by the school board by the 25th day of each month. The contract will be for a one-year period beginning July 2025 through June 2026 with an option to renew for an additional three (one-year periods) unless terminated by either party. The bid contract will be awarded within 5 business days of bid opening. No testing will be done during the month of July at either school due to no flow. Bids should list each school separately with a combined overall total. Analysis and sampling charges should be included in your bid along with any additional trip charges for the monthly testing requirements associated with each school. Our current permit requires that Hilton Elementary School have (4) four E-coli samplings (taken at least seven days apart) and testing during the month of September of each year of a valid contract. Contractors shall include the attached form, PROOF OF AUTHORITY TO TRANSACT BUSINESS IN VIRGINIA. ALL PROCUREMENTS MADE BY THE SCHOOL DIVISION ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VIRGINIA PUBLIC PROCUREMENT ACT. During the performance of this contract, the contractor agrees to provide a drug-free workforce Pursuant to Section 2.2-4312 of the Code of Virginia During the performance of this contract, the contractor does not and shall not knowingly employ any unauthorized alien as defined in the Federal Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. During the performance of this contract, the contractor agrees to follow the Code of Virginia on sex offender's entry onto school property Pursuant to Section 22.1-296.1(E) of the Code of Virginia. Scott County School Board reserves the right to reject any and all quotes/bids if it appears in its best interest to do so.
