The project is paid for by municipal funding, hence prevailing wage rates apply. The project shall be completed no later than August 31, 2025. If any person contemplating submitting a Proposal is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Drawings, Specifications or other Contract Documents, or finds discrepancies in or omissions from the Drawings or Specifications, he may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation for correction thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation or correction of the documents will be made only by Addendum duly issued and a copy of the Addendum will be mailed or delivered to each person receiving a set of the Contract Documents. Neither the Owner nor the Engineer will be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the Contract Documents. The Town Board is seeking sealed bids to remove and existing pipe culvert and install a new corrugated metal box structure for Queens Highway over Unnamed Stream. The work is more specifically described as the following: a. Clear vegetation as necessary within work limits. b. Remove guide rail. c. Excavate and remove existing pipe culvert. d. Prepare subgrade for receiving new culvert. e. Install new, pre-assembled corrugated metal box culvert. f. Backfill. g. All work shall be done in accordance with local and state laws, and the contractor shall be required to acquire any necessary permits. h. All work shall be coordinated through the Town Highway Superintendent. i. The contractor shall coordinate all work activities with Town representatives and shall be responsible for meeting the requirements of the Town Board. The NYSDOT Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials shall apply to this project.
