Closing Time: 2:00 PM (NT) ** Please note that there has been 2 addendum issued for this project. ** Question Deadline 06/19/2025 at 12:00 PM NT Inquiries and requests for clarification shall be submitted to the Procurement Specialist through the Bidding System only The Town of Paradise is seeking a qualified design-builder to complete detailed design and construction of a multiuse open space located at 20-22 Trenton Drive, Paradise NL. The Town requires that design and approvals be completed by August 2025 to facilitate construction being substantially completed by end of November 2025. The town has budgeted $ 300,000.00 (+ HST) for this project. The parcel of land to be developed is highlighted (red box) This project consists of the detailed design and construction of a multi-use open space, for 20-22 Trenton Drive, Paradise NL. A concept layout has been provided as part of this RFP (Trenton Drive Open Space Concept) which is the result of public consultations held in 2024. The Town has a parcel of land, approximately 1 acre, located at 20-22 on Trenton Drive, that has been identified as a community space. The parcel of land is currently rough graded with a granular finish. The successful proponent will bring the area to an acceptable finished grade and provide the following: • Multi-Sports Court (painted play, multi-sport court) to be a minimum 50mm surface course asphalt 75 mm Class “A” granulars and Class “B” granulars as required. • The court should include pickle ball inserts and court markings as well as net posts and net. • Picnic Shelter with roof, on a concrete pad and include accessible seating. • “Figure 8“ style (as per concept attached) Asphalt 6.5’ Walkway (535 sq.m) • 2 Picnic Tables (47” minimum round, seating of minimum of 7, CSA Approved, Mounted in ground, Colour Blue and Wheelchair Accessible) • Curved 6’ Bench • 6 Trees conducive to climate/environment • 40 -50 Entrance Planting • All grass areas should be a low mow hydroseed mix and include at minimum 150 mm of topsoil. • A 10-foot chain-link fence is required on each end of the multi-sport court and 3’ extension on each side. • Certified Landscape Professional • Consideration must be given to managing the surface water and conveying it to the municipal infrastructure in a manner in accordance with the Town requirements. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
