Renovation of a laboratory facility in Moncton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
Reference Number 0000295537 Public Works and Government Services Canada has retained a Construction Manager (Pomerleau) to modernize laboratory facilities as part of its Laboratories Canada (LC) program of work. The CM's Contract is the Atlantic Science Enterprise Centre (ASEC) (also known as the Gulf Fisheries Centre (GFC)) a PWGSC owned asset in Moncton, NB that will be redeveloped and expanded to provide science accommodations and non-science space for use by five Science Partners. The asset is a federally designated Recognized heritage building and will remain under operation during the phased construction approach. The construction phasing is the following: Enabling Works, Phase 1 New Science Annex, Phase 2 New Construction. This tender package is required to facilitate construction of the new ASEC facility. Specifically this package is for the TP06.1 Building Interiors portion: WP01.0705 - Applied Fireproofing & Sprayed Insulation WP01.0805 - Doors & Hardware (Install) Bids over $500,000.00 shall be accompanied by a bid security for 10% of the bid amount, either in the form of a bid bond from an approved surety company or a letter of credit from an approved financial institution. The bid bond shall be on the CCDC 220-2002 form, or any other equivalent acceptable form. The designated beneficiary should be Pomerleau Inc., Construction Manager. In the event financial Pre-Qualification does not pass, bonding will be required as follows: The subcontractor shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 50% of the Subcontract value excluding HST/GST/PST The Construction Manager reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal or portion thereof that is submitted by a bidder.
