Renovation of a water / sewer project in Macon, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The successful bidder will be required to provide a certificate of insurance listing Macon Municipal Utilities as additional insured and sign a hold-harmless agreement. Successful bidder shall require the same of all subcontractors. Each bidder must inform himself fully of the conditions relating to the composition of the project and the employment of labor thereon. Failure to do so will not relieve the successful bidder of his obligation to furnish all material and labor necessary to carry out the provisions of this project. Submission of bid confirms bidder agrees that they understand, and agree to abide by all terms and conditions, responsibilities, and specifications of the project. The bidder will be presumed to have inspected the site and to be thoroughly familiar with the project requirements. The failure or omission to do so shall in no way relieve any bidder from any obligation in respect to his bid. 1. The Macon Municipal Utilities is requesting proposals from electrical system controls contractors for replacement of the existing Severn Trent UV Disinfection system located within the Macon Wastewater Treatment plant. Macon Municipal utilities staff will be onsite to assist with installation of UV bulb modules into the existing channels, and preparation of existing channels for that installation. MMU staff will also be onsite for removal of existing bulb assemblies modules. 2. The control system will be required to operate the UV Disinfection system upon completion, and also copy and include the existing flow controls incorporated into the current system. Integration of the new system into existing WWTP SCADA for remote monitoring inside the plant control building in addition to the local control HMI is highly desirable. 3. Requirements: a. The ability to complete the installations required by the Utility. b. Documentation of the system controls operating scheme in a separate project report. 4. Proposal: The format for the proposal should include the following sections: a. Professional qualifications b. Past involvement with similar projects c. Proposed work plan d. Fee proposed 5. The information to be included in the proposal includes: a. Professional Qualifications o Name and address of the organization and, if applicable, the branch office or other subsidiary that will perform, or assist, in the performance of work. Indicate whether the proposer is an individual partnership or corporation. o Include the name of the professional personnel by skill and qualification that will undertake the work. Qualifications are required for all project personnel. Information on any subcontractors must be provided. o Provide information on the history of the firm, including length of existence, types of services provided, etc. b. Past Involvement with Similar Projects: 3 o A list of specific experience in the project area and indicate proven ability to implement the project and the individuals involved in each example project. o Client references must be provided for similar project. Client references must include the contracting entity, address, telephone number and contact person. c. Work Plan: o Provide a detailed and comprehensive description of how the proposer intends to provide the services requested in the RFP. d. Fee Proposal: o The fee proposal should include an itemization of the estimated time and hourly rates for personnel engaged in the performance of the services as well as a proposed maximum or lump sum fee. No work is to commence until the Contractor has completed the required paperwork with Macon Municipal Utilities. All work must be completed between Monday November 3, 2025 and Friday March 27, 2026. Completed work will be required to complete commissioning to demonstrate correct system performance. MMU may, but is not obligated to, conduct either in person or virtual interviews to discuss qualifications, experience, work plan and fee proposal. b.
