Questions Due Date: Jun 20th 2025, 11:00 AM EDT Scope of Work: The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials necessary for the application of reflectorized pavement markings on various streets throughout Kennett Township, as designated by the Township's Director of Public Works. All work shall be performed as per PennDOT regulations (see Section C.1 of this Specification). The work, materials, and services not expressly called for in the Specifications, which may be necessary to carry out the Contract in good faith, shall be performed, furnished, and placed by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Township. The work shall be completed in the best and most workmanlike manner by qualified, skillful, and experienced personnel. B. Roadways (long lines): The roads included in this bid are listed below. Double Yellow White Edge Lines Hillendale 29,500 29,500 Walnut 1,700 1,700 Bucktoe 4,400 Cedarcroft 2,800 Chandler Mill Rd Hillendale to Round Hill 6,700 Hamorton Cutoff Road 500 Mill Road Boro Bndry to Line Road* 2,900 Nine Gates 2,500 Norway 7,400 Pemberton 1,300 Yorktown Drive 1,500 61,200 31,200 (x's 2) *Go under Rt 1 to Line Road Roadways may be added or deleted as deemed necessary by the Township. C. Description of Work: 1. This work shall be done in accordance with the current PennDOT Traffic Control Pavement Markings Standards, Publication No. 111M, TC-8600 Series, as supplemented, and Sections 960 and 962 of the current PennDOT Specifications, Publication 408, as supplemented. PennDOT standard conventional paint will be required (approximate drying time of thirty minutes) for long lines on roadways. 2. The Contractor shall prepare the pavement surface for proper adhesion by sweeping and removing any debris, gravel, dirt or other foreign material. The pavement preparation shall be considered incidental to the application of the pavement markings and no separate payment will be made to the Contractor. 3. The Contractor shall perform work during times of off-peak traffic (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) on the heavily traveled roadways, so as to minimize traffic congestion unless the Director of Public Works gives prior, written permission to begin or end work outside the hours noted above
