The City of Glenarden is seeking quotes from qualified and licensed contractors to perform vegetation cleanup, including the removal of trees, overgrown ornamental grass, unkempt shrubs, and invasive vegetation from a residential property located within city limits. The selected contractor will be expected to complete the work in a timely, professional, and environmentally responsible manner. The services shall include, but are not limited to: Removal of all vines, including poison ivy, growing on structures Removal of designated trees (Pine, Crape Myrtles), including flush cutting Trimming of Crape Myrtles, Australian Pine, and Japanese Maple Trimming or full removal of ornamental grass and juniper Removal of unkempt shrubs and bushes Removal of weeds, saplings, shrubs, and volunteer trees Installation of double shredded brown mulch Aeration, reseeding, and addition of topsoil to low areas Burying of drainage pipes Removal of all damaged existing landscaping timber Hauling away and disposing of existing trash in compliance with local regulations Removal, hauling, and disposal of all wood, limbs, brush, and debris off-site in compliance with local regulations Final raking, leveling, and cleanup of affected areas Adherence to all applicable state and local safety codes The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Work must begin within five (5) days of contract award. The City may conduct background or reference checks. Final payment will be made upon satisfactory completion and inspection.
