Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Holden, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,000-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Beaver Emergency Services Commission is soliciting Request for Proposal (RFP) for the supply and construction of a 50ft by 120ft Fire Station structure in the Village of Holden. The building will be built on a grade beam with a hydronic in slab heated floor, using 2x8 wood frame construction with metal exterior, interior and roof. There will be provision made within the electrical system design for on-roof solar installation in the near future, to meet the eligibility rules for grant funding. A 3" water spigot will be provided in the mechanical system design to allow for in-house apparatus refill. The administration and combined meeting and training area will be situated in the 30ft by 50ft second story area at the east end of the building and will be served by a separate H-Vac system to avoid the transmission of diesel smoke into those areas.
