Site work and paving for a road / highway in White Plains, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
1.1 The work under this contract shall include all labor, materials and equipment required for milling and resurfacing road surfaces as needed for various County maintained roadways. Additional work includes pavement repair, traffic signal loop replacements and pavement markings. This contract is for a term of three (3) years with one two (2) year renewal at the discretion of the County. 1.2 Whenever possible, throughout the contract period, the County will provide the contractor with enough work or item quantities to be reasonably sufficient to accommodate a minimum of a full day's workload. Additionally, the County will make best efforts to cluster areas of work to minimize mobilization. There is no separate item pricing for mobilization. Contractor shall include mobilization costs in other items. It is not intended that this description of work mention each particular item required, but that it give information concerning the general scope and areas of work for the convenience of the bidders. The work under this contract consists of providing all necessary labor, material and equipment required for milling and resurfacing road surfaces as needed for various County maintained roadways. Additional work includes pavement repair, traffic signal loop replacements and pavement markings. This contract is for a term of three (3) years with one two (2) year renewal at the discretion of the County. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to the first year's contract amount, in a form approved by the County Attorney. In substitution thereof, an annual, renewable performance and payment bond may be furnished, in an amount equal to that year's contract amount so long as an annual bond remains in place, uninterrupted, for the duration of the contract. The County of Westchester reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids, or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw its bid within forty-five (45) days after the date of the bid opening. REMINDER: All required licenses should be submitted with the Bid. it is the goal of the County to use its best efforts to encourage, promote, and increase the participation of business enterprises owned and controlled by persons of color or women - Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE).
