* 2025-RFPQ-01 is cancelled due to project completion deadline extension. The Town of Deep River intends to rehabilitate the Deep River Arena in 2025 to modernize its ice rink infrastructure and enhance user experience. This project encompasses the design, engineering, and construction necessary to replace the existing refrigeration piping and headers, concrete slab, and dasher board system including glass, ensuring compliance with current standards and improving operational efficiency. The Arena is located at 2 Clubhouse Way, Deep River, ON. Rehabilitation works are anticipated to include: - Design and Engineering Services: engagement of qualified professionals to develop detailed designs and specifications for the new refrigeration piping with headers, rink concrete slab and dasher boards including glass, ensuring integration with existing building systems and adherence to applicable codes and standards. - Demolition and Removal: dismantling and disposal of existing refrigeration piping and headers and concrete slab. - Subgrade Preparation and Slab Construction: Excavation and installation of a new sub-base, insulation, and reinforced refrigerated concrete slab. The slab will incorporate a new refrigeration piping system including headers and new trench coverings to provide consistent and efficient ice quality. - New Board System: Supply and installation of a new board system, including player benches, penalty boxes, glass and viewing mesh, to meet current safety and accessibility standards. The Town will retain the old boards and glass. The Bidder should outline a detailed timeline that meets the project completion date of December 31st, 2025.
