The information received in response to this Call for Interest will allow the City of Laval to better understand the available offer and the particularities of the services offered on the market. Whether or not a potential supplier responds to this will not in any way affect its ability to obtain future contracts. This Call for Interest will also not be automatically followed by the acquisition of any goods or services described therein. All costs related to the preparation of responses are the sole responsibility of the respondent. No claim can be made in this regard to the City of Laval. All information shared by the suppliers in this Call for Interest will be treated as confidential and used exclusively to evaluate options available on the market. Suppliers are encouraged to share accurate, timely and context-specific information relevant to the needs of this Call for Interest. Suppliers who have shown a positive interest in this Call for Interest will have the opportunity to present their product to us. The presentation dates will be set later. This Call for Interest aims to validate the supplier's interest and capacity for the supply of steles with digital screens for the City of Laval. In connection with the vision 2035 "Urban Nature", the City of Laval has reviewed its positioning and brand image in order to change perceptions towards it, to stand out in the municipal world and to fully assume itself as the 14th largest city in Canada and 3rd largest city in Quebec. To do this, the City formally announced its desire to review all of the signage for its various public spaces and infrastructures as well as its banks and major municipal parks in order to standardize the way of communicating, include a vision of universal accessibility in terms of readability and better identifying oneself in the municipal world. For many years, the signage of municipal buildings and places has been produced piecemeal and an internal field study reveals to us that the display and signage portfolio of the City of Laval is unfortunately aging, disparate, outdated and sometimes even absent. As you will see, this hinders the proper identification of Ville de Laval sites and the orientation of our citizens and visitors. With the aim of optimizing the citizen experience, a redesign of the entire signaling network across the City of Laval is necessary and must now include entrance markers of the City and markers with digital screens in order to promote the attractiveness of its territory, its service points as well as its downtown. As part of the signage redesign, we need to identify our city entrances and communicate with the population through digital screens. We expect to require steles with a height of about 20 feet (6.1m). A portion of the stelae having single-sided digital screens and another portion having double-sided digital screens. The project essentially aims at the integration, configuration, training, documentation and deployment of the solution by the supplier. The project also targets the supports, the complete structure as well as the anchor structures (concrete base) necessary and required for the deployment of these signs on the Laval territory. The supplier will have to provide a mini portfolio as well as information on their products (technical specifications). In addition, the supplier will be required to provide details on their business model and roles and responsibilities for this type of project. Interested suppliers will be able to obtain the information form free of charge on SEAO. The City of Laval reserves the right to request clarifications if necessary on the documents submitted. The "Schedule 1", as well as any addenda, if applicable, must be signed by the authorized person(s) at the places designated for this purpose.
