Site work and new construction of a parking garage in West Hartford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the construction of a parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.
As of July 23, 2025, the construction manager has released the project for rebid and extended the bid date to August 1, 2025. This is a publicly bid job so the following requirements must be met: Prevailing wages will be required DAS Prequalified for bids over $500,000 Bid bond in the amount 5% must be included as part of the bid for contracts exceeding $50,000. Alternatively, a bank check equal to 5% of the bid may be submitted. Performance Bond required for all bids in excess of $25,000 A labor and material payment bond is required for bids that exceed $100,000. CHRO requirements. All contractors must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set- aside goals and will be required to submit a set-aside plan to CHRO. Bids must be submitted as hard copies in triplicate to BBE's office. Late bids will not be accepted. Although a firm timeline has not been confirmed, construction is not expected to start prior to third quarter 2025.
