A Project Labor Agreement is being considered for the Maintenance Dredging of Fire Island Inlet and Shores Westerly to Jones Inlet, New York, focusing on alleviating shoaling, maintaining authorized navigation channel dimensions, and beneficially reusing dredged material to support natural littoral drift and protect western beaches and Ocean Parkway. Work typically involves pipeline cutterhead dredging of shoaled areas within the channel and deposition basin, with material placed on feeder beaches for redistribution by wave action. The anticipated construction magnitude ranges from $25 million to $100 million, with an estimated performance period of approximately 165 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, expected around September 2026. Contractors are invited to provide industry feedback regarding the potential use of a Project Labor Agreement for this large-scale Federal construction effort. Location: Fire Island Inlet to Jones Inlet, New York The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
