This Invitation to Tender (the "RFT") is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara ("Niagara Region") to prospective bidders to submit bids for 2025-T-123 160 East Main St Asphalt and Concrete Upgrades, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the "Deliverables"). The facility is located at 160 East Main Street in Welland, ON within an approximately 68,890 square feet (sf) parcel. The building is a single-storey institutional construction facility, owned by The Region and occupied by the Welland Transit Terminal. The bus/vehicle roadways are provided with asphalt pavement. Localized deterioration in the form of pot holes, rutting/depressions, unsealed longitudinal cracks, alligator cracks and edge cracking were observed. The concrete curbs around the roadways are partially painted along bus stops. The concrete curbs are generally in good condition with localized deterioration with replacement as noted in the Consultant drawings. Localized concrete repairs are to occur during the daytime to allow for entire asphalt removal and replacement with base repairs as required over night to ensure minimal impact to Niagara Regional Transit Bus Schedules. This RFT is being issued to all of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2024-RFSQ-203 specifically Category 5.
