The County of Greenville is seeking proposals from qualified playground manufacturers and installers to replace the Southside Park playground. The project includes demolition of existing structures, site work, sidewalks, and playground surfacing and equipment installation. The goal of the playground project is to provide an attractive, functional, and accessible play environment with attention to shade, security, surfacing, and sightlines. Southside Park is a primary regional park in Greenville County seeking a modern, unique and impressive playground renovation. Professional Services firm Davis & Floyd developed a conceptual site plan for firms to plan their proposal. Final design can be adjusted within reason to accommodate specific use zones and selected firms will be expected to collaborate with the County and Davis & Floyd to complete construction drawings. Question Deadline 07/08/2025 at 3:00 PM ET This project requires a Bid Bond and a Performance/Payment Bond. Proposers shall submit with their proposal, a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid price. This bond may be in the form of Bid Bond from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), electronically through Surety 2000, Certified Check, Cashier's or Bank Money Order of any national or state bank and shall be made payable to Greenville County. Proposals submitted without being accompanied by any of the foregoing as required, may be considered informal and may be rejected. Any proposal accompanied by a bid bond not properly executed in the opinion of the County Attorney, may be rejected. The bond will be forfeited to the County by the successful bidder as liquidated damages in case a proposal award is made to that bidder and the contract and bond are not promptly and properly executed.
