Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Westfield, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The project shall include, but is not limited to, replacement of the Howland Hill Rd bridge and the associated items including drainage, 2A subbase, guide rail, installing/maintaining erosion and sediment control measures, traffic control, seeding and mulching, all necessary incidental work, and site restoration for said construction as set forth in the Project Manual. All work and material must be in accordance with current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Publications 408 and 447 and supplements. Bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Westfield Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid. Construction Performance and Payment Bonds are required in the amount of one-hundred (100) percent of the Contract as awarded. Bidders are hereby notified that Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project. The wage rates are provided in the appendix. Each Bidder (and Bidder's subcontractorjs]) must ensure that employees, and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Bids may be held by the Westfield Township Board of Supervisors for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
