The project consists of fur- nishing all material, labor equipment and appurtenanc- es for the reconstruction and reconfiguration of the inter- section of Batdorf Road and Groff Road. The proposed project consists of 15' of 18" diameter HDPE pipe; one pre- cast M-top inlet; 1,200 CY of bulk excavation; 1,795 SY of full depth bituminous pave ment construction; 465' of guiderail; 38" of 41" single- faced concrete barrier; and erosion and sediment con- trols. The Proposal for the Batdorf Road and Groff Road Improve- ments shall be accompanied by cash, money order, a cer tified or cashier's good faith check or a bond with corpo- rate surety in the amount of at least 10% of the total Pro- posal. All Proposals shall be effective for sixty (60) days and the project must be com- pleted within ninety (90) cal- endar days of the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated No- tice to Proceed date is August 11, 2025. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Perfor mance, Payment and Mainte- nance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contrac amount, said bonds to be that of an approved surety com- pany authorized to transact business in the Common- wealth of Pennsylvania. A Certificate of Insurance show ing proof of liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance must also be pro- vided, as specified in the bid documents. Notice is given that the Work is a project constituting pub- lic works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961 P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropri- ate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provi- sions of said act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the nec essary work. All Bidders shall be PennDOT Prequalified per PennDOT Specifications (PennDOT Pub lication 408, Section 102.01). Escalator provisions relative to bituminous materials shall not apply to this project. Jefferson Township reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to Jef ferson Township, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. Jefferson Town- ship also reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any omissions, er- rors, mistakes, defects or ir- regularities in any Bid.
