Renovation of a detention facility in Burnet, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a 104,607-square-foot detention facility.
Burnet County is seeking bids for roof repairs to the Burnet County Jail located at 900 County Lane, Burnet, Texas 78611. As of October 20, 2025, this project was not awarded. The project will re-bid in the future however a date is unknown. A firm timeline for construction is unknown. A previous solicitation is below, for reference: DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS: AUGUST 8, 2025 5:00 PM SCOPE OF WORK: Burnet County is seeking bids for roof repairs to the Burnet County Jail located at 900 County Lane, Burnet, Texas 78611 in accordance with the Bid Conditions, Specifications and/or Special Provisions attached hereto. Estimated 104,607 sq. ft of roofing area Clean areas affected to perform repairs Replace/repair all skylights - provide two bid options one for repair and one to replace (refer to page 9, Bid Form) Replacement of all pipe boots Replacement of all screws (oversized if required) Apply sealant on all penetrations Probe and determine any leak points and address Test to ensure roof is watertight at all skylights, seams (vertical/horizontal), all penetration and protrusions, all drains and or gutters, and all curbs and or roof to wall transitions Contractor to provide all material, labor, tools, and equipment required to perform repairs Specify warranty of work to be performed - must provide a written warranty in bid submittal
