Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hutto, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The CITY OF HUTTO (OWNER) is soliciting SEALED BIDS for Mills and Overlay. The scope of work includes 10% Base Repair pricing based on unit rate per square yard, with an additional mobilization fee. Road striping will also be included, with a total of 12,866 linear feet or more of striping, priced per linear foot. Each BID must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to The CITY OF HUTTO in an amount of five percent (5%) of BIDDER's total Bid amount and in the form of a certified or cashier's check on a state or national bank or an acceptable Bond issued by a reliable surety company as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute the required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award. All questions must be submitted online . Question Deadline 06/25/2025 at 5:00 PM CT The scope includes, but is not limited to: o Milling of existing asphalt to a typical depth of 2 inches over designated street segments. o Haul-off and proper disposal of all milled materials. o Flexible pavement structure repair Item No. 340: Removal and replacement of failed base areas, estimated at 10% of the total project area, including compaction and testing if necessary. Using Type D at a depth of 6 inches. o Asphalt overlay: Placement and compaction of new hot mix asphalt surface, typically type B, at a depth of 2 inches. o Tack coat application between pavement layers as needed. o Adjustments to utility structures (manholes, valve boxes, etc.) as necessary to match new pavement grade. o Traffic control and safety measures, in accordance with the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD). o Road striping: A total of 12,866 linear feet or more of striping, priced per linear foot. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all materials required for striping, including paint, layout, and application materials. o Cleanup and restoration of disturbed areas upon project completion
