Demolition of the Brownsville Public Utilities Board RESACA Maintenance Dewatering System Resaca Maintenance Dewatering System Demolition Contract Summary The Resaca Maintenance dewatering system was installed beginning in 2012. The dewatering system was used as part of the resaca dredging operation that began in 2013 and continued to 2025. The majority of the dewatering equipment, outside of a few components, has now reached its useful life, is corroded and inefficient. The dewatering equipment's main components consist of: an AquaScreen on top of a 53' flatbed trailer, fourteen (14) metal containment boxes (similar to roll-off boxes), a course debris separator, desander, mix tank with trailer, polymer unit, and two (2) polymer tanks. Ancillary components to the system include: six (6) pressure washers and housings, three (3) storage sheds, one (1) locker room, two (2) roof coverings, wood rails, grates, ground mats, concrete blocks, electrical conduit and both PVC and HDPE piping. The dewatering system will be deenergized before the work of this contract is to begin. Once the dewatering system is deenergized, tagged and locked-out, the Contractor may begin the work. The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation, personnel, and materials necessary to remove, relocate, scrap/recycle, store or dispose of all items as designated in the bid schedule. The Contractor shall be responsible for all hauling and disposal fees for disposable items removed from the site. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordination with the Owner for items to be relocated to the Owner's designated storage area.
