Reference Number 0000295914 Question Acceptance Deadline Jun 30, 2025 02:00 PM ADT The consultant is to investigate the current security access card reader system and CCTV and provide recommendations for replacement, including software, programming, controls, electrical and accessories as required. The new suggested system should consider technology that will remain current for the foreseeable future and be compatible with the current fire alarm system and elevator (Otis, access control on 5th floor) in the building. The new system must not be remote accessed or connected to the internet. The scope of work should consider upgrading to a new card reader system that accomodates multiple card types, streamlines access control, enhances security, and simplifies card management. - The new recommended system must be compatible and integrate with the separate tenant systems in the building and the Daniel J. MacDonald Building (model information to be provided to successful bidder). - The project scope should include minimum 2,500 new blank access cards (to be kept at the facility as spares) and equipment/software to print photo ID and set up new access cards. - The new system must be able to operate on security access cards with minimum 10 digits. - Consider to consider the option of recommending a system that can be used with more than 1 type of security card. - The new system should mimic the emergency egress plan as current in the building. The scope should also consider upgrades to the CCTV security cameras, improving image quality, coverage, and surveillance capabilities, and addressing vulnerabilities and aligning with regulatory standards. - Scope to include supply/install of new computer system to monitor and access the CCTV. - Consultant to recommend equipment that stores footage for a minimum of 30 days, but consider 60 or 90 day options when suggesting recommendations. -Consultant to review existing camera locations and provide recommendations of added or relocated cameras as applicable to enhance security. -The recommended system should consider local weather and be operational year round, and include night vision capabilities. - The recommended CCTV system should be connected via building ethernet. -Door contacts are to be installed on all perimeter doors, including the roof access door located in the penthouse. -Glass break sensors are to be installed on all windows and glass doors on the first level. -Scramble pads are to be considered on the exterior of the two access doors to allow for dual level authentication during silent hour and periods of enhanced security. optional -To enhance security, a telephone line connection should be considered for alerting a monitoring company of an alarm. The design shall be completed in such a manner that the existing building remains fully secure throughout the construction phase. This RFQ does not commit BGIS to select a Respondent as a selected Respondent or enter into a Contract with any Respondent and BGIS reserves the complete right at any time to reject all Quotations and to terminate this RFQ and the RFQ process associated therewith and proceed with the acquisition of the Deliverables in some other manner without any obligation or any reimbursement to any Respondent.
