For the purposes of this Project, a Calendar Day is from midnight to midnight, inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays, and Legal Holidays (as defined herein), on which the Contractor could proceed with construction operations for a period of six hours or more with the normal working forces engaged in performing work on the controlling item or items of work, which normally would be in progress at that time, will be classified as a Calendar Day. All bids must be on blank forms provided in the Specifications with the Contract booklet submitted in its entirety. A cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a Bidder's Bond, payable to SWDA, for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid, but in no event more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) shall be filed with the proposal.
