Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Parking Lot A Reconfiguration at Wytheville Community College, Project Code # 260-B2260-079 (L22WC227) located in Wytheville, Virginia. The project is generally described as the partial demolition, reconfiguration and construction of a large parking lot at the northeast portion of the Wytheville Community College campus. The new configuration includes the construction of new parking aisles, drives and spaces, with curb and gutter edges and connecting sidewalks. The project also includes planted parking islands, trees and directional signage. The site electrical scope of work includes power to several locations of the lot and to lighting and security poles. In person hand delivery is supported on bid day at the stated location. Building is open during regular business hours. All visitors need to sign in at the virtual receptionist (iPad on the wall in the main lobby.) Bids may be modified as per the Instructions to Bidders using fax number (804) 819-4762 and copying sroberts@vccs.edu. A Standard Commonwealth Bid Bond is required (form CO-10.2) and Contract Security is required for any bid regardless of the bid amount. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
