Roof Replacement for Pump Stations Wells 5 and 7 located at Red Mill Road in Easton Massachusetts. Question Deadline 07/10/2025 The work consists of replacing the existing roofs at Well #5 and Well #7 on Red Mill Road in Easton, Massachusetts, as shown in the specification. The location, general characteristics, and principal details of the Work are indicated on plans attached hereto. The exact location and work to be done are shown for information only and are subject to modifications, deletions, and additions as deemed necessary by the Owner. Additional drawings showing details in accordance with which the Work is to be done may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Owner or its Engineer, and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The Work to be done and paid for under any item shall not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but shall include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item. This project will replace the roof system for two of our drinking water wells on Red Mill Road, Well 5 and Well 7. Total square footage of roofing to be replaced is approximately 750 square feet. SUMMARY OF WORK A. In general and without limitation, the work to be done under this contract consists of the construction of the roof replacement for Pump Stations #5 and #7. B. The work to be performed shall include the work shown on the Contract Drawings, as specified herein, and as indicated below. C. All construction activities must also be completed while meeting the requirements of the Appendices of the specifications. D. The project shall include furnishing all plant, labor, services, equipment, materials, devices, facilities, and appurtenances for the installation of new and salvaged materials, equipment, and facilities for the new roof system for each pump station. A general description of the work to be performed under this contract shall include, but will not be limited to, the construction operations described herein. 1.4 SCOPE OF WORK A. Low-Slope Roof (Pump Station 5): 1. Remove and dispose of existing gravel surfaced BUR roof assembly down to the structural deck, including but not limited to: Asphalt membrane insulation, and associated sheet metal flashings; install new 2-ply SBS modified bitumen roof system and all associated components, including but not limited to: insulation, coverboard, 2-ply SBS modified bitumen roof membrane, and associated sheet metal flashings, per specification. 2. Install new gutters, downspouts, and all associated components, including but not limited to: outlets, elbows, pipe bands, fasteners, sealant, and touch up paint.E. Work and materials which are necessary in the construction but which are not specifically referred to in the Specification, or shown on the Drawings, but implied by the Contract shall be furnished by the Contractor at his/her own cost and expense and shall be such as will correspond with the general character of the work as may be determined by the Owner, whose decisions as to the necessity for and character of such work and materials shall be final and conclusive. It is the intent of these Specifications to produce a complete, finished job whether shown in every detail or not.
