2023 CDBG Street Resurfacing Project All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, or certified check made payable to the Village of Robbins in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract is properly secured. PREQUALIFICATIONS OF BIDDERS in accordance with Section 102.01 of the Standard Specifications will be required of all bidders on this project. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Robbins for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of closing bids. Payments to the Contractor will be made by the Village of Robbins only after it has received the funds to make such payments from the County of Cook in accordance with the terms of the aforesaid agreement. Further, in compliance with the Stevens Amendment to the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 1989, the (estimated/actual) percentage of the total cost of this project to be funded with federal dollars is (100%) and the exact dollar amount of federal funds which will be set aside for this Project will be based on the contract amount awarded under this offering. The successful bidder for the construction of the improvement will be required to file a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, with sureties to be approved by the President and Board of Trustees which performance bonds shall be conditioned upon proper and faithful performance by the Contractor of the work specified in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore, according to the time and terms and conditions of the contract; and also that the bidder and contractor shall properly pay all debts incurred by the Contractor in the execution of the work, including those for labor and materials furnished.
