Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Copake Falls, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Owner is the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation(Parks) and the work site is located in the Town of Copake. The projects limits extend from: the existing trail terminus near Orphan Farm Road. The trail will then proceeds along the west side of Orphan Farm Road, and cross the road to continue along an abandoned railroad corridor. A new bridge will be built to bring the trail over NYS Route 22, then tying into the existing trail near Black Grocery Road. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Approximately 1.25 miles of asphalt shared-use trail construction, which includes a new pedestrian bridge over NYS Route 22. $2,573,800 to $3,482,206 This is a Federal Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on May 1, 2025 as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation's website must be followed by the successful bidder. This project has 80% matching federal funds for project costs up to $1,935,325.00 Enterprise (DBE) utilization goals for this contract. The goal is expressed as a percentage of the total bid price. The DBE goal for this project is: 7.0% The goals for EEO participation, expressed in percentage terms for the Contractor's aggregate workforce in each trade on all construction work in the covered area, are as follows: 2.6% Minority Employment Goal 6.9% Women Employment Goal Contract term: 365 Days after contract approved by the NYS Comptroller' s office. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an Executive Order No. 16 certification form prior to contract award. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a scanned Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of: $151,400.00 BONDS The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond/Payment Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance Law, each for 100% of the amount of the Contract.
