** As of 07/16/2025 project has been awarded to Earle Asphalt Company with an awarded amount of $362,413.13.** for the NJDOT Local Aid - New Friendship Road (From Friendship Road to Route 9) (Howell Contract #24-27). The scope of Work contemplated for the above-named Project generally includes resurfacing and reconstruction of New Friendship Road as well as all other Work of any type or description necessary for contemplation of the Project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents. No oral interpretation and/or clarification of the meaning of the Contract Documents will be made to any Bidder. Any interpretation or clarification requested by a Bidder shall be in writing, addressed to the Engineer. In orderto be given consideration, a written request must be received by the Engineer according to the procedures outlined in the Special Provisions. All Work on this Contract shall be completed within Ninety (90)Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. The provided Bid Packet must be completed in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the Project on the outside and must be addressed to the Township Clerk of the Township of Howell. Also,Bid Packets must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "Township of Howell" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that a Performance and Payment Bonds for the full amount of this Project is required. The Township of Howell reserves the right to reject any and all Bid Packets to the extent permitted by law. An award will be made, or Bid Packets will be rejected within sixty(60) Calendar Days after the opening of the Bid Packets, during which time the Bid Packets shall be irrevocable and unavailable to withdraw by Bidders, unless otherwise extended in the Contract Documents
