Site work for a water / sewer project in Granite City, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of this project is an opportunity to expand rail capacity, reliability, and safety at the Midcoast Dock, Red Dock, and Dome locations. The project will be subject to prevailing wage rates and include the removal of old rail track and the construction of approximately 3,300 feet of rail track with associated grading and drainage work at the Midcoast dock within the Granite City Harbor. Five new turnouts and one at-grade crossing surface will also be constructed. This project will boost reliability and worker safety at these terminals and ultimately provide convenient transportation of materials between the inland waterway system and America's Central Port.
