The total bid will include prestressed box beams, anchor inserts, posts, railing, and hardware for the construction of bridge during the year 2025 according to specifications on file in the Madison County Commissioners' Office. Non-composite prestressed box beams with Twin Steel Tube Railing. The undersigned, having full knowledge of the site, plans and specifications for the following structure(s), and the conditions of the bid, hereby agrees to furnish to the Commissioners of Madison County all services, labor, materials and equipment necessary to furnish the bridge superstructure and related material in place, according to the plans and specifications, and to accept the total price specified below as full compensation for the work on this project. Furnished prestressed box beams are to be Non-Composite, B27-48, 52.5' center to center of bearing, 55.0' out to out in length, 28.0' face to face of rail, 0 degree skew. The beams must be designed to HL-93 loading conforming to ODOT std. dwg. PSBD-2-07. Bearing pads and design are also to be required to be supplied as part of the bid. Design must conform to ODOT requirements. Related materials and appurtenances to be supplied shall include: 1" tie bars, dowel pins, tie rod studs with appropriate nuts and washers, 1/8" shims, jute packing, and 6"x6" PEJF (to be installed around dowels), drip strips, any and all required hardware to properly install the supplied bridge railing. Railing shall not be attached to the beams. Include non-epoxy sealer (silane) according to 512.03 on outside of fascia beams, and Ipanex (or approved equal) in the concrete at the rate of 13.8 oz. per 100 lb of cement as a concrete densifier. The addition of calcium nitrate (D.C.I.) to the concrete shall not be required. the supplied box beams are to have the appropriate guardrail anchor inserts for Twin Steel Tube Guardrail (TST-1-99). Asphalt overlay thickness shall be 3.5" for calculating the anchor placements. As an alternative, the bridge railing must also be supplied to match the inserts placed on the box beams. The length of railing required for the Twin Steel Tube Rail is to include the length of the box beams, and shall extend up to and include the first post off of the bridge. Bridge railing must conform to the TST-1-99 standard drawing and must meet requirements for TL-3. Bidders must be pre-qualified as a Fabricator for prestressed concrete box beams by the Ohio Department of Transportation. Bids shall have one Base lump sum price for the superstructure and the rail inserts. As an alternative bid, Twin Steel Tube Railing (TST-1-99) shall be included through the length of the bridge including the first post off of the bridge with appropriate hardware to install, and all other appurtenances listed in the Project Specifications. Bids are to be submitted on F.O.B. contractor's trucks basis. Ownership of the materials will be transferred upon acceptance of materials after delivery to the project site where they will be unloaded by the Madison County Engineer's Office. Bidders shall comply with the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. All proposals to be in accordance with Sections 307.86 to 307.92 inclusive of the Ohio Revised Code. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. Awarding of the contract shall be to the Lowest and Best bidder, including time from order to delivery, as determined by the Madison County Board of Commissioners in the best interest of Madison County. The Board of Commissioners of Madison County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bids. No bid bond will be required.
