The following is a brief description of the work: Construction of a 150mm interconnection across Dundas Street east between an existing 150mm cast iron watermain on the south side of North Street (near the intersection of Sixth Street and North Street) and an existing 300mm ductile iron watermain on the north side of Dundas Street East by adding tapping sleeves and valves, PVC pipe and fittings as required. Construction of a 150mm interconnection within the Dundas Street east and Hasting Drive intersection between an existing 300mm ductile iron watermain on the north side of Dundas St E and a 150mm cast iron watermain on the east side of Hastings Drive by adding tapping sleeves and valves, PVC pipe and fittings as required. Construction of a 150mm end cap and blow-off assembly at the Dundas Street East/Herchimer Avenue intersection disconnection point from the watermain to be abandoned Decommissioning and abandoning in place, approximately 235m of 150mm cast iron watermain pipe. In addition to the above, the work shall also include: installation of corrosion protection on metallic components, commissioning, excess soil testing, excess soil management and all site restoration.
